About that podcast…
Well, it was nice while it lasted. I worked for a year to build some kind of following, but all was in vain. It was pretty maddening because I liked doing it. I liked talking about music I created. But everybody’s got a podcast these days, so the competition for ears is pretty intense. I thought of it as a way to generate interest in Longboat. Unfortunately, it seems that people aren’t interested in someone talking about music they haven’t heard.
It was my intention to just delete everything because, y’know, it’s pretty embarrassing to admit defeat, even if it is to a limited audience. Well, my lovely wife prevailed on me, so I decided to keep the Anchor archive. But I did delete every episode (except for the last one) on YouTube. It actually felt pretty good. So yeah, no more podcast.
